DC Defenders Activate Briley Moore off IR, Release Ross-Johnson – xflupdate
With the DC Defenders 2024 playoff hopes behind them following last week’s loss vs. St. Louis, the focus shifts to evaluations concerning the players and coaches. With just two games remaining, the Defenders are activating TE Briley Moore from the injured reserve list. Moore was having a productive start to the UFL season prior to his knee injury suffered in week three. Before his injury, he had seven catches for 48 yards, and a touchdown.
WHAT A SNAG BY BRILEY MOORE FOR THE TOUCHDOWN!
Ta’amu drops it in the bread basket and Moore does the rest.

Moore will have a chance to add more to his 2024 tape, and potentially earn another spot in an NFL training camp this upcoming summer.
The Defenders have waived OT Jahmir Ross-Johnson in a corresponding move. Johnson started three games this season after being added following Jean Delance’s release after week one.
Final Thoughts
There’s no doubt this has been a disappointing season for the Defenders entire organization. Being eliminated from playoff contention with two games remaining is a tough pill to swallow, especially when you consider DC’s 9-1 regular season record and XFL Championship appearance from last year.
The approach for the final two games against Memphis and Arlington should vary significantly from what we’ve seen through eight games. Keep an eye on the two 2024 NFL Draft prospects DC signed, QB Mike DiLiello and WR Monroe Young. Jordan Ta’amu has struggled at times during the second half of this season, and the offense needs to look forward to next season at key offensive positions. Lookout for at least one of them to see the field coming up.
